Despite the ongoing war and relentless attacks on its energy infrastructure and manufacturing facilities, Ukrainian company Centravis has successfully supplied specialized steel pipes to SpaceX for use in their rockets. This remarkable achievement underscores the resilience and ingenuity of Ukrainian industry, even in the face of extreme adversity.

Centravis, based in Nikopol, specializes in the production of seamless stainless steel pipes. The company received a special order for 28 tons of thick-walled pipes with a unique combination of properties, including plasticity, hardness, and the ability to withstand extremely high pressure and aggressive environments. These pipes will be used for fuel supply in SpaceX rockets.
“This order for SpaceX was unique, as seamless stainless steel pipes with this diameter and these specific characteristics aren’t typically mass-produced,” explained Dmytro Kyselenko, Sales Manager at Centravis Sales America. “Our proven track record in the US market, including successfully fulfilling a previous order for NASA’s Space Launch System, gave them the confidence that Centravis could deliver exactly what they needed, on time.”
That previous NASA project involved crafting a specialized pipeline for testing the new Space Launch System rocket, demonstrating Centravis’s ability to meet the stringent demands of space exploration. By securing this latest contract with SpaceX, Centravis further establishes itself as a key player in the aerospace industry, proving that even amidst conflict, Ukrainian innovation continues to reach for the stars.
Centravis’s success is a testament to the enduring spirit of Ukrainian industry. Despite the challenges posed by the war, Ukrainian companies continue to produce world-class products and contribute to global technological advancements. This story serves as an inspiration and a reminder of the unwavering determination of the Ukrainian people.
