Ukrainian Miltech Startup Frontline Secures $100,000 Investment From European Accelerator

Frontline, a Ukrainian startup developing robotic systems and drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, has secured a $100,000 investment from Estonian accelerator Startup Wise Guys.

The funding will be used to scale drone production in Ukraine, accelerate R&D efforts, and attract international partners.

“We are grateful to Startup Wise Guys for their belief in our mission and support for our product,” said Frontline CEO Yevhen Tretiak. “This investment will help us do even more to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces and bring Ukrainian defense technology to the global stage.”

Frontline specializes in creating drones and robotic turrets adapted for operations in electronic warfare environments. Their key developments include the ZOOM reconnaissance drone and the “Burya” robotic turret.

“We are excited to be a part of Frontline’s growth,” commented Sergio Borasino, VP of Cybersecurity and Director of Founders Club at Startup Wise Guys. “Their products bring tremendous value as they reduce costs and increase the efficiency of existing military solutions. With our investment, we confirm our support for Ukraine and our mission to increase value for our investors.”

This latest investment follows a 2 million hryvnia grant Frontline received from the Brave1 defense technology support cluster. This grant is being used to produce the “Linza” drone, a bomber copter with reconnaissance capabilities.

In the summer, the company introduced the “Burya” remotely controlled turret for the MK-19 grenade launcher. And in the fall, it was announced that Frontline and Tencore had combined their developments into a single combat system, allowing the military to fire a grenade launcher without putting themselves in danger.
