The EIT Red Kalyna Initiative seeks to recognize and empower Ukrainian women who are leading innovation in their fields.
Who Can Participate?
- Ukrainian women entrepreneurs, educators, researchers, and mentors who have developed innovative products, solutions, or transformed their businesses.
- Ukrainian and international organizations working to empower women and promote inclusion and diversity in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Context:
Despite a full-scale invasion, Ukrainian women continue to demonstrate resilience and leadership. In 2023, over 50% of new entrepreneurs were women, and more than 30% of C-level positions are held by women.
The EIT Red Kalyna Initiative aims to:
- Showcase the achievements of Ukrainian female innovators and leaders.
- Empower women across Europe to pursue their ambitions.
- Create a community of support and collaboration.
- Spark conversations about the impact of women innovators.
